Understanding Tokens

Tokens are TradeZone's virtual currency used to promote your listings. Think of them as advertising credits that help your items get more visibility and sell faster with premium seller badges.

Choose the promotion level that best fits your selling goals. All promotions last until your item sells:

Purchasing tokens is quick and easy. Follow these steps:

Open your Profile and tap "Buy Tokens" to access the token purchase screen.

How Promotions Work

When you promote a listing, choose from four seller tiers - Spark (30 tokens), Pro (60 tokens), Prime (80 tokens), or Elite (100 tokens). Your item gets the selected seller badge until it sells. This means:

  • Spark Seller (30 tokens): Basic visibility boost with priority placement in search results
  • Pro Seller (60 tokens): Enhanced visibility with premium placement and featured listing status
  • Prime Seller (80 tokens): Superior visibility with top-priority placement across all pages
  • Elite Seller (100 tokens): Maximum visibility with highest priority placement, appears first in all searches
  • One-Time Payment: No daily charges or recurring fees - one-time payment lasts until sold
  • Until-Sold Guarantee: Your promotion stays active until your item sells
  • Better Value: Items that take longer to sell still maintain promotion without extra cost
  • Auto-Deactivation: Promotion automatically ends when you mark the item as sold
  • One Promotion Per Item: Each item can only be promoted once to ensure fairness

How to Promote an Item

Follow these simple steps to promote your listings and boost visibility:

Access Promotion Screen
From Profile menu, tap "Promote Items" OR from your item details, tap "Promote" button. Your token balance is displayed at the top.

Select Your Item
Browse your active listings on the "Promote Item" tab. Only active, unsold items that have never been promoted before are eligible.

Choose Your Tier
Review all four promotion tiers (Spark, Pro, Prime, Elite), consider your item's value and competition level, then select your preferred tier.

Confirm & Activate
Review promotion details and token cost, tap "Confirm" to complete. Tokens are deducted and your item is now promoted!
Important Promotion Rules
  • One Promotion Per Item: Each item can only be promoted once to ensure fairness. Choose your tier carefully!
  • No Refunds: Tokens are not refunded if promotion ends early due to sale or policy violations
  • Eligible Items Only: Must be active, unsold, never promoted before, with complete information
  • Auto-Deactivation: Promotions automatically end when item is sold, deactivated, or removed by admin
  • Complete Your Listing First: Ensure high-quality photos, detailed description, correct category, and competitive pricing before promoting
How Search Ranking Works

When users search or browse categories, items are ranked in this priority order:

  1. Elite Seller promoted items (highest priority - appears first)
  2. Prime Seller promoted items
  3. Pro Seller promoted items
  4. Spark Seller promoted items
  5. Regular (non-promoted) items

Within each tier, items are further ranked by view count and promotion date. This ensures fair visibility while rewarding quality listings.

Live Shopping

What is Live Shopping?

Live Shopping is TradeZone's real-time video shopping feature. Verified sellers can broadcast live video to showcase products, interact with buyers through chat, and accept bids — creating an engaging, auction-style shopping experience. Buyers can watch, chat, browse products, and place bids during a live session, all for free.

For Sellers: Going Live

Seller Requirements
  • Verified Seller Account: Your identity must be verified on TradeZone
  • Minimum 50 Tokens: You need at least 50 tokens to start a live session
  • At Least 1 Product Listed: You must have products in your store to feature during the session
  • Camera & Microphone Access: Your device must grant TradeZone permission to use the camera and microphone

Creating a Live Session

Open Live Session
Navigate to the Live Session section from the app menu or home screen. Tap the red "Go Live" button at the bottom right.

Fill in Session Details
Add a catchy title (up to 100 characters), a description of what you'll showcase (up to 500 characters), and upload an eye-catching thumbnail image.

Select Featured Products
Choose the products you want to showcase. You must select at least 1 product. Selected products will display with their image, title, and price.

Configure & Create
Toggle chat and recording settings, then tap "Create". Your session is saved in "Scheduled" status, ready for you to start broadcasting.

Broadcasting Your Session

Start Broadcasting
Find your scheduled session in the Live Session section and tap "Go Live". Grant camera and microphone access when prompted. 50 tokens will be deducted.

Pin Products
Tap the Products icon to see your featured products. Pin a product to showcase it — a banner appears on every viewer's screen with the product details and current top bid. Only one product can be pinned at a time.

Engage & Manage Bids
Chat with viewers, pin important messages for announcements, and review incoming bids sorted by highest amount. Accept the best bid to mark the product as sold and notify the buyer.

End Session
Tap the End Session button when you're done. All viewers will be notified. If your token balance drops below 50, the session ends automatically.
Seller Broadcasting Controls

During your live broadcast you'll have access to these controls:

  • Camera Toggle: Turn your camera on/off
  • Microphone Toggle: Mute/unmute your microphone
  • Pin Product: Pin a product to showcase it to viewers
  • Chat: Open/close the chat panel
  • Bids: View incoming bids, accept or reject offers
  • Timer & Token Balance: See how long you've been live and your remaining streaming time
  • Viewer Count: Number of people currently watching

For Buyers: Joining Live Sessions

Find Live Sessions
Open the Live Session section to see "Live Now" sessions marked with a red LIVE badge. Browse sessions by seller name, thumbnail, viewer count, and product count.

Watch & Chat
Tap any session to join. Watch the full-screen live video, follow the seller for future notifications, and chat with the seller and other viewers in real time.

Browse & Bid
View featured products by tapping the Products button. When a seller pins a product, enter your bid amount in the bid field and tap "Place Bid". You can update your bid anytime.

Winning a Bid
If the seller accepts your bid, a celebration modal appears with your winning details. You'll receive an email confirmation and the seller will contact you to arrange payment and delivery.
Bidding Rules
  • You can only bid on the currently pinned product
  • Bids can only be placed while the session is live
  • You cannot bid on your own products
  • Updating your bid replaces your existing bid automatically
  • Bids refresh every 8 seconds so you can see competing offers
  • The top 3 current bids are displayed on the pinned product banner

Live Session Token Costs

Pricing
  • Start a live session: 50 tokens (covers the first 30 minutes)
  • Continue streaming: 50 tokens deducted every additional 30 minutes
  • Minimum balance: 50 tokens required to start or continue
  • Auto-end: If your balance drops below 50 at any token check (every 30 seconds), the session ends automatically
  • Watching is free: Buyers can join and watch live sessions at no cost

Session Analytics (Sellers)

After your session ends, view detailed analytics from the "My History" tab in the Live Session section:

  • Unique & Peak Viewers: Total individual viewers and max simultaneous viewers
  • Featured Products & Chatters: See number of products featured during live
  • Duration: Check how long the session lasted for

For Sellers:

  • Prepare beforehand — list all products and upload a great thumbnail before going live
  • Have enough tokens for your planned session length (100 tokens for 1 hour)
  • Use a stable Wi-Fi connection for the best video quality
  • Engage with your audience — respond to chat messages and answer questions
  • Pin products strategically to build excitement and drive bids higher
  • Good lighting matters — make sure products are well-lit

For Buyers:

  • Follow your favourite sellers to get notified when they go live
  • Join early — the best deals often happen at the start
  • Bid competitively and check the top bids before placing yours
  • Ask questions in chat — sellers are there to help
Live Session Troubleshooting
  • Camera/microphone not working: Grant TradeZone camera and microphone permissions in your device settings
  • Video not loading: Check your internet connection, switch to Wi-Fi, or close and reopen the app
  • Session ended unexpectedly: Your token balance likely dropped below 50 — top up and start a new session
  • Can't create a session: Ensure your seller account is verified, you have 50+ tokens, and at least 1 listed product
  • Can't place a bid: Bids only work on the currently pinned product while the session is live
  • Chat not sending: Check your connection and wait a few seconds if you hit the rate limit (3 messages per 5 seconds)
